Position Title : Senior Technical Writer
Position Location : Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite in Rockville, MD
Daily Responsibilities :
Write and edit primarily for corporate proposals and / or corporate taskers, as assigned, which can include but is not limited to position descriptions, resumes, white papers, market research, marketing materials, plans, and others.Works with teams to create compelling and compliant copy that speaks to the needs of the audience of the work product.Understands the federal, defense, and consulting industry and can articulate the unique value proposition of the company, and contribute to solutions for a variety of IT, management, and professional services problems of moderate scope and complexity.Works independently with some guidance and writes original content from source materials as well as rewriting contributed content to be compelling and compliant in response to task requirements.Participate in strategy and solution sessions to generate content for proposal volumes from outline to draft proposal text and conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), key personnel, subcontractors, and program managers to develop past performance, resumes, management, and technical content.Write capture win strategies and company benefits that meet customer goals and objectives, maintain contextual integrity of proposal sections by coordinating edits with the respective contributor, and conduct RFP, RFI, PWS, and SOW analysis to understand the customers business drivers, problems, and instructions for the proposal response.Work with the Proposal Manager about assignments and deadlines, provide writing advice to SMEs and Volume Leads, and support and contribute to the development of materials to enhance the efficiency and quality of the writing or editing processes.Required Years of Experience (min) :
6 years of experience with writing and editing in a professional environmentRequired Degree :
Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Communications, Marketing, or Computer ScienceRequired Experience :
Experience in Federal health and proposals, including contracts or grants.Experience in working with technical and functional delivery teams.Ability to provide a writing sample.Ability to manage a diverse workload and balance numerous priorities while meeting tight deadlines.Ability to work closely with large and small teams of SMEs, reviewers, and leadership with competing schedules.Adept ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technical information.Attention to detail and proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative.Expert understanding of grammar, syntax, and style guidelines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.Comprehend Systems Plus capabilities and customers at a high-level.Required Clearance :

Full-Time Salary Range : $85k - $110k
Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
