Job Description:
SUMMARY
Provides departmental information systems support for Three Rivers Health Center clinicians and staff. Assesses workflow related processes and requirements to facilitate system enhancements and modifications. Provides recommendations, implements, and supports approved system optimizations measures and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Clinical Informatics Specialist is the enterprise liaison for health IT efforts supporting clinical workflows and associated information systems in all areas that support digital solutions in the ambulatory settings for internal and external customers.
- The Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for partnering with physician, behavioral health, and pharmacy to support all care team members with core clinical and supporting processes such as mobility, scheduling, registration, and charging
- Advanced knowledge and skills required for this role include clinical relevancy, in-depth knowledge and expertise of clinical workflows, integration, informatics, evidence-based practice, industry trends, consultation, and leadership within operations, vendor, or health information systems
- This position is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, adoption, maintenance, and optimization of clinical technologies in a variety of clinical settings across the continuum of care and serves as a liaison, translator between clinical, business stakeholders, information technology and TRHC Leadership.
- Work situations include intermediate to complex analytical, clinical, and business problem-solving and solution development that require independent decision-making, leadership, cross-team collaboration, project management, change management, public speaking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The position is also responsible for staying current with evidence-based Informatics practices and providing support to leadership and incorporating clinical practices into various clinical technologies
- Clinical technologies supported include, but are not limited to NextGen, various communication platforms, telehealth, biomedical devices, Telehealth, clinical alerts and reminders management, decision-support, and other clinically focused systems as required.
- Demonstrate ability to gather, organize and present data.

- Must be able to walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to work on a computer to fulfill the job requirements.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be willing and able to work long hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- Must be willing and able to travel both locally and within the CTCLUSI service delivery area.
WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
- Must have a regular office setting, private space to work so the employee can comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- May be required to work in locations other than Three Rivers Health Center, such as schools or at an outreach work location.
- May be required to attend meetings, conferences and training
- Tribal events.
