Job Description:
SUMMARY
The Circles of Healing Program provides direct services to victims of crime, including sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and other crimes. The Circles of Healing Transitional Services Specialist will work directly with the Circles of Healing Outreach advocates to provide follow up and aftercare for clients transitioning from crisis intake to stabilization.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drafting Transition & Safety plans in accordance to the desired outcomes of Circles of Healing clients.
- Coordinating and providing services to clients using a safe, timely, effective, efficient, client-centered approach.
- Facilitate culturally specific support groups for clients.
- Facilitate multiple transitional aftercare aspects (case coordination, information sharing, attending/scheduling meetings with other agencies, etc.)
- Develop and maintain effective and respectful working relationships with community partners.
- Maintain confidentiality as required by the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
- Manage and prioritize client needs in alignment with client goals.
- Plan events/meetings as needed in an organized and timely manner.
- Tabling events as needed with other COH staff.
- Maintain appearance standards as outlined in CTCLUSI policies.
- Must be able to interact with Tribal members and the public in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain a good attendance record as outlined in CTCLUSI Handbook.
- Other duties as directed by management.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY & RESTRICTIONS
- This is not a supervisory position.
WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
- Moderate noise level with frequent interruptions and distractions.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
- Working with people in crisis who may have additional barrier/disabilities that can be mentally challenging.
- Must be able to walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds as needed.
