Description
Seeking an experienced Quality Project Manager to lead and manage Quality Management System (QMS) transformation projects. This role will play a key part in transitioning the organization’s QMS from ISO 9001 to ISO 13485. The ideal candidate has a solid background in quality systems within regulated environments and is capable of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects that involve regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment.
This position is part of a broader Quality System Transformation initiative and will be instrumental in driving change and ensuring successful certification and compliance under ISO 13485 standards.
Requirements:
- Lead the transformation and transition of QMS from ISO 9001 to ISO 13485
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource needs, and risk management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business and compliance objectives
- Ensure ISO 13485 standards and regulatory requirements are met throughout all phases of the project
- Conduct project status reviews, resolve issues, and drive corrective actions
- Act as subject matter expert on ISO 13485 requirements and their practical implementation
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders and leadership teams
- Identify and implement quality system improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Additional experience or accreditations may be considered in lieu of a degree
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience, specifically in quality system transformation
- Hands-on experience leading QMS transitions from ISO 9001 to ISO 13485
- Familiarity with regulatory environments such as ISO 13485 and/or ISO 15378
- Strong project planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with ETQ or other quality management platforms is a plus
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
