AS/400 Project Manager

TG is seeking to fill a Project Manager – Cloud Modernization role for our client in Orlando, FL.

Location: Orlando, FL

Duration: 9 months contract

Duties:

• Lead and manage a large-scale cloud modernization project, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion.
• Oversee project scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables while mitigating risks and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Provide strategic guidance and technical oversight for the modernization of AS/400 systems.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and communication with key stakeholders.
• Drive adoption of best practices in cloud technologies, application development, and API integrations.

Skills:

• Strong project management experience in leading large transformation projects.
• Expertise in AS/400 modernization, including:
• Fully Free RPGLE, RPGIV/ILE, RPGIV-JAVA
• Subfiles, SQL, CLLE, CLP
• REST API (JSON Format), SOAP API (XML Format)
• Solid understanding of cloud migration strategies and modern development methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.

Experience:

• 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT transformation and modernization projects.
• Hands-on experience managing AS/400 modernization projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering cloud migration initiatives.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• PMP, Agile, or Cloud certification is a plus.
