- Description :
- Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Assist a team of engineers in providing production support and troubleshooting for a 24 / 7 manufacturing operation.
- Collaborate with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.
- Support process and product optimization / improvement efforts.
- Provide training for engineers and / or production associates as needed for new processes, equipment, or control systems.
- Participate in capital projects.
- Provide occasional after-hours, on-call support as needed.
- Required Qualifications :
- Education :
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; or equivalent experience.
- Experience :
- 5 years in a technical role or relevant experience.
- Required Skills :
- Knowledge in computer and PLC programming skills such as : VB, .NET, C, Real-time systems, or similar.
- Desired Skills :
- Experience integrating computers into manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and lower costs.
- Familiarity with MS Windows, iFIX, EthernetIP I / O, Microsoft Office, real-time control systems, and SCADA. Experience with motion systems is a plus but not required.
- Proven experience in production support within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; ability to understand the underlying needs behind operations and engineering requests.
- Ability to troubleshoot simple low voltage electrical circuitry.
