Job Details
CTG is seeking Epic Technical Specialists to support the detailed testing for infrastructure related devices. This position requires working on-site supporting our client in San Francisco. Qualified candidates must have prior experience testing Epic functionality related to printers, workstations, and other peripheral devices - previous experience supporting Epic Technical Dress Rehearsals is ideal.
Contract Length: 5 months
Location: San Francisco, CA - candidate has to be on-site
Job Responsibilities:
- Verifying current and assisting in developing new test scripts with application teams to test workstations and peripheral devices, using Epic software modules and executing Epic test scripts, to ensure printing queues are created and printers are mapped to the correct workstations, and peripheral devices are working as expected.
- Viewing, creating, and modifying Excel worksheets and device records.
- Perform end-user device testing at various clinical sites us ing a detailed testing script. Understand the expected results and document failures effectively based on test script requirements.
- Coordinating with other technicians to provide detailed information on each failed workstation or device to ensure proper and efficient turnaround times for failure troubleshooting and resolution.
- Follow-up and retest assigned issues.
- Assist with device readiness activities (e.g., device labeling).
- Work with management to review and understand the testing locations and goals for each day. Hours may need to be flexible given availability and access to clinical departments.
*Weekend work may be required, but adequate notice will be provided.
Required Skills:
- Experience working on workstations, printers, and other peripheral related devices such as bar code scanners Prior Epic Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDR) experience required
- Excel Skills
- Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to details
- Strong attention to punctuality and adherence to schedule
- Experience working in a hospital or outpatient environment
- Proven ability to be self-directed and work on collaborative teams.
