Senior Java Engineer – Marketing Platforms Integration

Job Description CTG is seeking to fill an Senior Java Engineer – Marketing Platforms Integration opening for our client. Location: Phoenix, AZ or New York, NY Duration: 9 months Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with hands-on experience to join our Marketing Platforms initiative. This role involves working independently across all layers of the architecture stack, from data modeling to middle-tier Java business logic, web APIs, and messaging platforms to exchange data with external systems. The Senior Java Engineer will be responsible for integrating a new Campaign Management vendor application with existing Amex marketing systems, enabling seamless marketing campaign presentment, personalization, and fulfillment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions across multiple layers of the technology stack. Work on data modeling, Java business logic, and web APIs to enable integration with external systems. Develop and optimize messaging platforms for exchanging data using Kafka and other messaging technologies. Build and manage the CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth deployment processes and automated testing. Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure the successful integration of the new Campaign Management application with existing marketing systems. Utilize containerization and ensure smooth build and deployment processes using Gradle and other tools. Develop, test, and optimize web services (REST APIs) and ensure data exchange and integration with external platforms. Engage in all phases of software development, from design to implementation, testing, and deployment. Required Skills: Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, SQL, and PostgreSQL. Expertise in API development, CI/CD processes, and automated testing. Proficiency with GitHub, Gradle, Junit, and Kafka. Strong knowledge of DB architecture & design, Linux, Progress, and REST web services. Experience working with web APIs and messaging platforms for integrating external systems. Ability to design and optimize data models and work across the full software stack. Nice-to-Have Skills: Familiarity with containerization and building deployment pipelines. Experience with additional API integration and database design tools. Interview Process: Face-to-face interview required onsite.
