Assistant Community Manager
Location: Middle River
The Opportunity
We're looking for someone who can be the backbone of our leasing office - someone who knows how to get results while keeping their cool. If you've got experience in property management and know how to handle tough conversations with grace, we want to talk.
Role Overview
This isn't your average assistant position. You'll be second-in-command at a bustling 347-unit community, working alongside our Community Manager to keep operations running smoothly. We need someone who can be firm when necessary but fair always - especially when it comes to collections and lease enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Community Manager on revenue optimization, focusing on timely rent collection and lease compliance
- Handle collections process from start to finish - from sending notices to coordinating with legal teams
- Keep detailed records while managing resident communications and maintenance requests
- Balance firm policy enforcement with excellent customer service
- Coordinate resident events that build community spirit
- Process administrative tasks including work orders and vendor invoices
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of property management or related administrative experience
- Proven track record in handling collections and lease enforcement
- Natural ability to have difficult conversations professionally
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
- Fair Housing Certification (or willingness to get certified)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays
