Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of property management, and the ability to effectively communicate with tenants, staff, and stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach to property maintenance, tenant relations, and compliance with legal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including tenant relations, maintenance requests, and lease agreements.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Oversee property budgets and financial reporting, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service at competitive rates.
- Implement and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking maintenance requests and schedules.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess conditions and identify necessary repairs or improvements.
- Facilitate the leasing process by marketing available units, conducting showings, and processing applications.
- Address tenant concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, local real estate markets, and legal changes affecting property management.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques and real estate administrative processes.
- Experience in legal administrative tasks related to property management is preferred.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with contractors and vendors while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple properties simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with tenants, staff, and external partners.
