Position Overview:
This position has the ability has the ability to work out the following offices: Akron, OH; Farmington Hills, MI
Responsibilities include:
* Field work such as: performing site inspections, developing daily field reports, attending progress meetings, demonstrating consistent/exemplary safety compliance, alerting project personnel when problems or non-conforming test results are observed, and participating in health and safety plan development.
* Office work such as: performing engineering calculations, performing computer-aided studies/testing, writing technical reports, analyzing project-specific data and developing appropriate conclusions, generating and editing engineering drawings, preparing materials for project proposals, and assembling quality project deliverables.
* Depending on qualifications and performance, successful candidates may also be expected to supervise small tasks of moderate complexity, direct the work of technicians, and prepare specialized technical reports
Qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
* 0 to 2 years of experience in civil engineering.
* Knowledge of civil engineering practices required.
* Organization, written communication, and oral communication skills required.
* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
* Ability to work constructively in diverse teams including engineers, technicians, and non-technical
personnel required.
* Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
* Geoenvironmental engineering, in particular, landfill design experience preferred.
* Expected to be eligible for professional licensure within 4 years of hire.
Additional Requirements:
CTI is a Drug-Free Workplace - Must pass pre-hire drug screen.
Must possess valid driver's license.
Must be able to physically navigate construction sites.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
