Job Summary :
Eccalon is seeking an ambitious and open-minded product designer with a strong grasp of user experience, visual, interaction design, and formative research. In this role, you will work alongside an entrepreneurial team of designers, product leaders, engineers, and data scientists to design inclusive, immersive, and thought-provoking experiences for our members and untapped communities. This individual must thrive in creative environments and have experience solving complex design projects and will work with the Software Development team to create impactful and dynamic visual interfaces for a diverse portfolio of products. You will collaborate with developers, Engineers, Functional Specialists, and clients to understand their challenges and craft solutions that help them to solve their toughest problems. This individual will be able to implement design thinking with a deep understanding of how to marry the needs of our customers with digital experiences that deliver.
Key Duties / Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To :
- Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation.
- Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications.
- Collaborate closely with one or more local or remote Agile Scrum teams, working iteratively to deliver customer value.
- Provide designs that meet all required accessibility requirements for both government and commercial systems.
- Use customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions.
- Help to facilitate and participate in user research like interviews and usability testing to validate designs and make iterative improvements.
- Participate in and lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges.
- Proactively identify challenges and recommend solutions to enhance overall user engagement and satisfaction.
- Produce sketches, workflow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and design.
- Lead product demos to clients and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience utilizing a variety of human-centered design methods and best practices.
- Experience leading user research - interviews, ethnography, user testing, etc.
