AV Technician

The primary responsibility of this position is to be the primary AV Install tech and project lead on-site during the installation. The work being completed must be in accordance with the proposed spec and system design at the Client’s site. This installation work shall comply with ACTs Field Operations Manual standards and the current National Electrical Code. The baseline knowledge expected for this position is to have a good understanding of AV signal flows for complex systems and an in depth understanding of common audio-visual concepts including.

Audio Enhancement EPIC Systems Essential Functions

Install audio visual equipment on customer site(s) in accordance with the proposal specifications and design.

Review project scopes, equipment lists, line drawings, etc.

Function as a mentor, trainer, and technical resource to other Installers.

Serve as the main contact for customers and Project Managers while on site.

Stage equipment for upcoming project(s) and verify accuracy.

Load/unload equipment for installations.

Perform testing on completed install equipment.

Provide basic system training for customers.

Mark up and deliver as built drawings.

Communicate installation status to the Project Manager and Installation Supervisor. Clean up work areas at customer site(s), secure tools, and communicate progress at the end of each day.

Responsible for completion of end of project updates and closeout documentation. Technical Support oProvide technical assistance to the Project Managers, Installers, Technicians, Programmers, and Sales Representatives as needed on projects. On-site service assistance for complex issues as needed oAnswer questions and educate customers and staff on audio/visual systems. Other Duties as Assigned oThis could includes attaining higher level training certifications Experience, Education, Skills, and Competencies 2-5 years in an AV design related role In depth knowledge of AV signal flow and common manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, and QSC Excellent communication skills Desire to grow and further education Ability to organize and work through heavy workloads

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.36 - $35.48 per hour
