Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Installation Technician Level 3 to take charge of on-site audio-visual installations. This role is responsible for executing projects in line with specified designs and client requirements while adhering to industry standards, company procedures, and the National Electrical Code. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AV signal flow in complex systems and a deep knowledge of essential audio-visual technologies, including display systems, interactivity, control systems, streaming media, projection, sound reinforcement, and AV over IP solutions, technical, support, CTS, O6, license
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation of AV equipment per project specifications and design requirements.
- Review project documentation, including scopes of work, equipment lists, and system diagrams.
- Act as a mentor and technical resource for junior installers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project managers during installations.
- Prepare and stage equipment for upcoming projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Load and unload equipment for installations.
- Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure functionality and quality.
- Provide basic end-user training on installed AV systems.
- Document and submit as-built drawings for completed projects.
- Communicate project progress with the Project Manager and Installation Supervisor.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces, secure tools, and provide daily progress updates.
- Complete final project updates and closeout documentation.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance to project teams, including project managers, technicians, programmers, and sales representatives.
- Offer on-site service support for troubleshooting complex AV issues.
- Educate clients and internal staff on the functionality and operation of AV systems.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to advance industry knowledge and skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in an AV (Audio Visual) design or installation role.
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow and industry-standard manufacturers, including Crestron, Extron, and QSC.
- O6 License required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
Certifications:
- CTS certification is required as a condition of employment.
- CTS-I certification is preferred; candidates will be expected to pursue this certification as a condition of employment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
