Job Overview
Assists supervisors and managers to ensure that production goals, quality standards, and budgets are achieved.
Responsibilities
Oversees and coordinates personnel in assigned area to meet quality and efficiency standards. Includes, but not limited to:
- Understanding, following, and enforcing the company’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Showing initiative by communicating and working with other departments to resolve production issues
- Training new and existing associates
- Promotes a positive labor relations environment in the facility
- Assists in creating and maintaining the department’s work schedule
- Understands and follows the Production Schedule making sure all orders are completed to customer specification.
- Meets all customer and regulatory labeling on finished goods
- Follows all safety procedures and practices and helps enforce safety awareness to line personnel.
- Fills in/covers all line jobs when needed
- Makes sure all required production- and quality-related paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
- Understands and follows all general Food Safety Responsibilities.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Has demonstrated the proven ability to lead others in a positive manner to meet quality and production standards.
- Above average communication skills with the ability to effectively give written and verbal direction.
- Basic computer/data entry skills.
- Work in cold damp environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good communication skills
- Dependable attendance is essential
