CTI, Inc. is looking for full-time Diesel Mechanics to join our fleet maintenance team in Marana, AZ (I-10 & Tangerine Exit)
Hourly: $22.00 - $28.00/hr DOE additional pay offered for certified welders and/or CDL holder
$300 Quarterly Safety Bonus
Tool allowance
Boot Reimbursements
Work schedule: (unless otherwise specified by management)
- Day Shift: Tuesday - Saturday: 7:00am - 3:30am

A mechanic diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, and assists in the maintenance of all types of diesel and non-diesel engines. Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment such as tractors, trailers, generators, and other equipment owned or operated by our organization.

Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver License
- Minimum 18 years of age
- 1 Year of Experience with diesel or heavy equipment preferred; Less experience will be considered on an individual basis and may require an extended training period
- Must have your own set of requisite tools and toolbox
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose & repair
- Tire & service experience
- Successfully pass pre-employment background screening & drug testing
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Commitment to working safely at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements
- Assist in various maintenance department activities
- Operation of mid-level mechanical tools
- Work on tractor components including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, starters, generators, alternator, and other miscellaneous components
- Diagnose and perform mechanical trailer repairs on a wide variety of trailers, such as pneumatic, live bottoms, belly dumps, flatbeds, and tanker trailers
- Diagnose and perform mechanical repairs on a wide variety of company equipment
- Inspect equipment for structural integrity and other potential safety and maintenance problems
- Inspect, diagnose, disassemble, clean, remove, and replace defective parts; reassemble, install, and adjust to specified performance standards
- Obtain parts from stock as needed
- Input data into a maintenance software program
- Perform the job duties of lube/tire technician and laborer as needed
- Assist with service calls
- Assist other maintenance and office personnel when necessary
- Operate maintenance pick-up truck, forklift, and other company equipment
- Adhere to grooming standards and dress code
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn as directed
- Notify manager of updates or problems regarding their driver license, as well as all citations, inspections, incidents, accidents, and near-misses
- Correct and report unsafe conditions in the work area
- Maintain contact with manager to advise of problems or concerns
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
- Assist with general maintenance, clean-up, and other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Work varying hours and schedules
- Work overtime, as needed
- Maintain a current driver license
- Must be able to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy
- Work well with others
- Understand and comply with organizational policies and procedures and all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position requires the ability to lift, carry, pull, push and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, grip, speak, hear, see, climb and/or balance, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, squat or crawl, use legs, and feet. This position requires constant climbing of stairs and/or ladders, working at elevations of 14 feet above the ground, and bending over.
- This position is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic and/or caustic chemicals or substances, extreme weather conditions, vibration, and equipment under pressure.
- The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risks of electrical shock. The noise level is usually very loud.
