Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of accurate, comprehensive cost estimates for DOE, DoD, and commercial projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand scope, specifications, and client expectations to prepare deliverables that meet cost and timeline objectives.
- Analyze project documents, such as blueprints, specifications, and proposals, to compute time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Utilize historical data, benchmarks, and pricing tools to establish competitive estimates that align with federal and commercial contracting requirements.
- Prepare Basis of Estimates (BOE), ensuring that all factors, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead, are appropriately calculated.
- Perform market research to ensure competitive pricing and stay updated on industry cost trends, best practices, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Work with procurement teams to secure vendor quotes and validate pricing inputs.
- Provide recommendations for cost efficiencies and ensure that all estimates comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and review subcontractor estimates for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with post-project audits to compare actual costs versus estimates and apply lessons learned to future estimates.

Education, Experience and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (required); In lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant work experience in cost estimation and pricing will be considered.
- Minimum of 7 years in cost estimating, pricing, or project management within the DOE, DoD, or related federal sectors (required).
- Experience with federal contracts, including a strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), (required).
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) (required).
- Previous experience with DOE, DoD, or commercial contracts (preferred).
- Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
