What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Worker position at CTI?
Job Summary: The sanitation department is responsible for all janitorial duties both inside and outside of the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Complete cleaning and sanitizing of office, production and restroom areas.
-Will be responsible for the breakdown, cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling clean rooms.
-Sanitation workers must follow proper cleaning SOPs, chemical use and safety procedures.
- Participate in major cleanup projects as directed by production supervisors and managers.
- Maintains chemical usage and cleaning logs.
- Is responsible for inventory and storing of all sanitation supplies
- Completes detailed cleaning tasks as per production schedule and master sanitation schedules dictate
-Is responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to QA Manager and plant manager.
- Is responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
-This position will require working at heights over 10 ft. Must be comfortable working on a ladder or scissor lift.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in sanitation in a food environment preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and of food handling preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal directions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to read and speak English.
-Must have excellent attendance, work ethic and be self directed.
-This is a fast paced, physical position that requires bending, stooping, walking, lifting and occasionally climbing a ladder.
All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Salary will commensurate with experience.
