Job Description
CTL Aerospace is a full service NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company providing services to the major aerospace and governmental organizations since 1946. CTL specializes in the manufacturing of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures.
We are seeking a talented Calibration Technician to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky).
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain and monitor the organizations calibration systems. Ensuring all measuring and test equipment are up to date and accounted for.
- Work hand in hand with outside calibration vendors.
- Must comply with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements along with supporting the business goals and objectives.
- Work with others in a teamwork atmosphere.
- Organize and maintain work-station cleanliness on daily basis.
- Coordinate CMM Verifications as needed for CTL Managed Assets (CMM operation experience a plus)
- Reporting of Out of Tolerance notifications and forwarding to Quality Manger
- Perform backups of data loggers weekly.
- Prepare and communicate with all department’s monthly calibration list. Retrieve equipment as needed.
- Prepare and send out missing gage alerts as needed.
- Order/prepare PO requisitions for gage replacements as needed.
- Create/Monitor/Maintain a backup log of gages and test equipment within organization.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision to support manufacturing needs.
- Familiar with utilizing Microsoft Excel to help create lists.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 yr. experience related to calibration services.
- Ability to interact with people on the floor, good social skills, and able to work with diverse work groups.
- Good analytical, writing and communication skills, ability to communicate during surveillance, internal and supplier audits.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
