Director of Operations

CTL Aerospace is a full service; NADCAP certified composite-manufacturing company providing services to major aerospace and governmental affiliates specializing in the manufacturing of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Structures since 1946.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented, hands-on professional to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as the Director of Operations at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on senior operations management professional with career goals to work in an empowered setting with a broad scope of authority.

As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational functions within the organization. This role requires a dynamic leader with excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills to manage day-to-day activities while implementing long-term strategies for growth and efficiency. The Director of Operations will collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure all business operations run smoothly and effectively. This position reports to the President / Chief Operating Officer.

Job Requirements

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's overall business goals.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost reductions, and process optimization.
Lead operational planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Analyze current processes and systems to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
Implement best practices to enhance productivity and ensure high-quality outcomes.
Continuously monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance.
Oversee and mentor operations managers and teams to ensure a high-level performance and professional growth.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage and oversee key projects related to operational efficiency and growth.
Establish project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive company success.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational risks and disruptions.
Work closely across all departments to support company objectives and initiatives.
Prepare and present reports on operational performance to senior leadership.
Regularly review and adjust operational strategies in response to changing market conditions.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational leadership or management roles.

Experience in Aerospace preferred.

Ability to interact with people on the floor, good team building skills, and able to work with diverse work groups.

Proficiency with ERP operating systems. PLEX preferred.

Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

A Must be able to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities at once.

Ability to work in both a standard office environment and manufacturing with occasional travel as required.
