What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator – Second Shift position at CTL Amedica?

CTL Amedica is an ISO 13485 certified and FDA registered Medical Device Company with offices in Carrollton, Texas. CTL designs, manufactures and distributes medical device products and systems for spinal surgeons; specifically implants and devices.
The company is currently seeking a CNC machine operator. The candidate will have experience in either Mill/Mill Turn machines.
Duties:
- Setup and Operate 5 axis Vertical Machining Center
- Setup and Operate Mill-Turn machine
- Setup and Operate Swiss Style Lathes (Helpful, but not main focus)
- Perform product inspections including First Piece and In-Process Inspection
- Troubleshoot NC programs and equipment
- Participate in qualification activities
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Complete required quality system documents accurately
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Experience operating CNC Mills, Mill-Turn machines, and/or Lathes
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Ability to effectively use measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, Video Measuring System, etc. to perform product inspections
- Ability to interpret complex product drawings
- Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical device or related manufacturing experience
- Trade school or vocational school related with studies in CNC machining
- ISO 13485 knowledge
Required Education Level:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Status
Full Time, Second Shift, Monday through Friday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm.
