What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Die Cutter Operator position at CTP Boxes & Packaging LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all activities associated with running the Die Cutter including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending operation improvements, for Bobst and Heidelberg Die Cutter.
Essential Job Functions:
- Set up , adjusts, and operates the Die Cutter.
- Works under minimum supervision.
- Performs a variety of semi-complex or critical tasks where overall quality and/or quantity can significantly impact various manufacturing operations or costs.
- Locates and corrects machine malfunctions.
- Clean , lubricates, and makes adjustments to maintain the quality of production.
- Notifies supervision of needed repairs or replacement parts.
- Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
- Assists in training individuals and other team members as assigned.
- Understands all documents pertaining to the Die Cut process and adheres to specification requirements.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.
- Complies with established safety procedures and policies.
- Keep machine rea clean and orderly.
- Focuses on continuous improvement, quality, improved cycle times, safety cost reductions, and customer satisfaction.
- Cooperates and works effectively with other deparments and maintenance personnel on projects and validations.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior corrugated converting experience preferred.
JOB RECRUITMENT
- Must have good personal communication skills including reading, speaking, and writing simple sentences.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have basic mathematical skills and be able to apply concepts of high school math.
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Able to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral or graphic form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.

- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pound with the assistance of his fellow employee.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
