CTR Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in the Charleston, SC area for a Manufacturer of Architectural & Engineering products for Federal Government clients. Excellent career opportunity and urgently hiring!

SUMMARY :
The position will be responsible for the engineering aspect of manufacturing and machining operations through a team of lead associates. Maintains design control and supports project schedule, wood processing, and fabrication through project life cycle.
- Responsible for breaking down high level drawings and models to piece mark drawings and adding material, symbols, call outs, etc.
- Interpret customer drawings and specifications.
- Ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Assemble / prepare and support job packets to and through production.
- Support planning, prototype hardware fabrication, and the assembly processes for current and new programs.
- Identify, quantify, and procure materials.
- Manage the successful transition of new products and technology into the production arena.
- Assist with resolution on any engineering issues that have the potential to interrupt programs or delivery schedules.
- Participate in concurrent engineering design reviews.
- Provide technical interface with customers - the U.S. Government / other.
- Use manufacturing engineering practices including writing routings and manufacturing instructions.
- Design and procure tools / equipment.
- Evaluate and approve drawings, routings, specifications, and other documents
