Position: Electronics Assembly Technician, Full-Time

Job Description: The electronics assembly technician's role is to assemble and process electrical devices as directed by the leadership team. This can include using a light assembly electric screwdriver, torque wrenches, or soldering irons, as well as other light industrial equipment. The electronics assembly technician will also be responsible for working with printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing, under the guidance of more experienced staff. The ideal candidate will come with some electrical assembly experience, including soldering, however on the job training will be provided as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Soldering wires to PCB assemblies
- Housing PCBs into products
- Final integration and testing of products
- PCB flashing and testing
- Product packaging
Required Skills:
- Experience using basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
- Willingness to learn and bring new ideas to a production environment
- Ability to use soldering equipment, etc. as needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with soldering small components
- Experience with circuit board assembly lines is a plus, but not required
Workplace: The job functions require the ability to work in a potentially noisy fabrication environment that runs light industrial equipment. The role has potential contact with heat and chemicals used in the process of electrical assemblies. Training and mitigation will be done to prevent prolonged contact. The workplace has some industrial processing equipment that is not expected of the technician to operate without proper training and guidance. There may be physical demands associated with lifting heavy objects, such as cases weighing 50 lbs, as well as standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made as necessary.
Travel/Remote Work: There is no travel required of this role. The role is based in our production facility Macomb, MI, and is not available for remote work.
Compensation: The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $16-$20 per hour based upon experience and other benefits based upon full time status.
