Position Description:
This individual will be the primary HQ representative for a mostly distributed team spread across several contracts. They must be an excellent communicator and very comfortable working face to face with the clients. The Project Manager will be responsible for weekly/monthly status reports, customer relationship management, quarterly program reviews, and other program performance functions. The Project Manager will collaborate with functional staff to address corporate initiatives and requirements. This Project Manager will also take part in initiatives to support the continued growth of the CTR Management Group organization both organically and through new business.
Responsibilities:
Converse fluently with HQ teams, contractor, and federal employees.
Conduct advance planning to continually meet customer's contract requirements, while also looking for opportunities to make improvements or organic growth.
Collaborate with the team to analyze level of effort for customer requirements and consult with customer contacts to ensure the team is able to meet deadlines, objectives and opportunities.
Support the customer at various planning meetings, assessing change impact, performing risk mitigation, and organizing communication plans.
Ensure adherence to customer policy and standards during meetings, release management/operational readiness reviews, and other work sessions deemed appropriate by customer management.
Collaborate with both onsite and remote staff to the same level of care, ensuring requirements and expectations are understood regardless of physical location.
Develop and maintain relationships with customer personnel, both federal employees and contractors supporting our customer.
Manage our database information entries for completeness and accuracy for both our program management and business development activities.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus 1 year or more related experience. Experienced managing Federal Government projects is preferred. Ability to work in a distributed (remote) matrix team environment, actively and effectively managing relationships with customer personnel, on-site managers, and other contractors. Excellent organization and analytical skills. Exceptional ability to communicate with leadership, staff and customers. Must have ability to regularly commute when necessary to both our HQ in Tyson's Corner VA and our client sites in and around the DC Metro Area.

Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 90% of the time.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity types of machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, telephone, and computer printer.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across the office for various needs
- Occasionally ascend/descend stairs, ladders, or ramps.
- The noise level may be loud at times.
