The Prevention Coordinator (State Level) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing prevention programs focused on substance abuse, suicide prevention, and risk reduction. This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable professional capable of delivering training and briefings to diverse audiences while managing program initiatives. The position demands a flexible schedule, including frequent weekend availability, to support state unit training and activities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement prevention programs tailored to address substance abuse, suicide prevention, and risk reduction at the state level.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and briefings for military personnel and other stakeholders, adapting content and style to suit various audiences.
- Collaborate with state units, community organizations, and stakeholders to align prevention efforts with organizational goals and best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on prevention strategies, providing guidance and support to units and leadership.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting data and providing detailed reports to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate variable work hours, including weekends, to support training and other program activities. Qualifications :
- Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in a social science or related field; OR
Proven ability to instruct and brief diverse audiences effectively.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and educate various audiences.
