The Suicide Prevention Coordinator (State Level) is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing state-level suicide prevention initiatives. This role requires a dynamic professional with practical experience in prevention strategies, resilience training, and the ability to engage diverse audiences through effective instruction and communication. The position includes a variable schedule, often requiring weekend availability to support state unit training activities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement suicide prevention strategies and programs in coordination with state-level leadership and units.
- Provide training, briefings, and educational sessions on suicide prevention and resilience to diverse audiences, including military personnel and stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on suicide prevention, offering guidance and support to state units and program participants.
- Adapt instructional methods and content to meet the unique needs of varying audiences, ensuring high engagement and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other program coordinators, unit leaders, and stakeholders to integrate suicide prevention efforts into broader resilience and risk reduction programs.
- Monitor program outcomes, collect data, and prepare reports to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain flexibility to support training and program initiatives, including working variable schedules and weekends as required. Qualifications :
- Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or a similar discipline).
3-9 years of practical experience in substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, or resilience programs.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
