Requirements of the School Psychologist- :
B.A / B.S. degree in psychology plus completion of all requirements for a master's degree, of an approved program (except special examinations, projects or thesis) with a major or specialization in school psychology.
Valid Washington State ESA School Psychologist Certificate Knowledge of :
State and Federal laws in assigned area.
Responsibilities of the School Psychologist- :
Conduct multifactored psychological and psycho-educational assessments of children and youth, as appropriate
Develops and assists in the development of in service and other skill enhancement activities for school personnel, parents and others within the school and district, where appropriate.
May consult with program staff on how to design and interpret research to improve program effectiveness within total school programs, as appropriate.
Performs related duties as assigned
Provide counseling and support services to students dealing with emotional or behavioral issues
