Compliance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compliance Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for the overall company compliance with internal policies as well as contractual government flow down requirements including FARs, DFARs, Export Compliance, and other obligations of our agreements with our collective customers. Responsible for aligning requirements to meet the CTS fiduciary plan and customer satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Create and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures aligned with industry regulations, CTS government flow down contracts, and company objectives.
• As a new role for CTS, the employee will need to develop a program to ensure ongoing financial. industry, and government contractual compliance; analyze and identify relevant contractual terms and conditions and perform risk assessments at appropriate levels for contract scope.
• Work independently, managing daily/routine workload and special projects with minimal oversight.
• Retain and maintain compliance documents and files on CTS network.
• Assist in contract review and set-up, analyzing and crafting contract language to ensure CTS can comply with stipulated requirements.
• Develop and implement compliance procedures and tracking mechanisms to ensure compliance with federal, state, and/or local contracts, including maintaining all contractual documentation and files.
• Assist in negotiation as required.
• Support corporate and external audits related to prime and subcontract award compliance.
• Provide departmental metrics.
• Performs other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of business or related experience. A master's degree in business is highly desirable. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Experience:

• Must have 8 years of compliance experience in support of Federal government prime contracts.
• Must have 5 years of experience managing other Contracts professionals
• Previous Management experience required.
• Negotiation experience preferred.
• NCMA certification is highly desirable

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-starter able to work independently in a newly created role
• Significant ability to influence senior corporate management via strong understanding of contract law and relevant regulations
• Excellent presentation, team building, and leadership skills
• Experience managing complex contracts and programs
• Export Compliance (ITAR, EAR) experience
• FCPA knowledge
• Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Understanding of business and management principles
