The Government Contract Compliance Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for the overall company compliance to ensure we meet the flow down requirements of the binding agreement, FAR,s DFAR’s, Export Compliance and other obligations of our agreements with our collective customers. Responsible to align requirements to meet the CTS fiduciary plan and customer satisfaction
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- Manage the CTS Contracts and perform as an individual contributor.
- Handle critical contractual formation and management obligations of high risk and visibility, ensuring all contractual documentation is concise and consistent, both from a technical and contractual perspective.
- As a new role for CTS , the employee will need to develop program to ensure ongoing compliance and analyze and identify relevant terms and conditions and perform risk assessments at appropriate levels for contract scope.
- Work independently, managing daily/routine workload and special projects with minimal oversight.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Prime or Subcontractor and Customer relationships. Establish enterprise contract strategy and drive implementation of strategic contract opportunities with the most significant impact on the company.
- Develop and implement compliance procedures and tracking mechanisms to ensure compliance with federal, state, and/or local contracts, including maintaining all contractual documentation and files following Aleut Federal Contracts policies and procedures.
- Assist in negotiation as required.
- Support corporate and external audits related to prime and subcontract award compliance.
- Supports continuous improvement activities that are required to improve overall team performance of Purchasing and Vendor Services
- Provide departmental metrics
- Performs other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
Education: Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of business or related experience. A master's degree in business is highly desirable. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
Experience:
- Must have 8 years of contract management experience in support of Federal government prime contracts.
- Must have 5 years of experience managing other Contracts professionals
- Previous Management experience required.
- Negotiation experience preferred.
- NCMA certification is highly desirable
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Significant ability to influence senior corporate management via strong understanding of contract law and relevant regulations
- Excellent presentation, team building, and leadership skills
- Experience managing complex contracts and programs
- Export Compliance (ITAR, EAR) experience
- FCPA knowledge
- Small Business plan creation and management
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proven excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle deadlines and work well under pressure.
