Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, with specific expertise in FortiGate firewalls and Microsoft Office 365 administration. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems and networks, providing technical support, and implementing IT solutions to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
FortiGate Firewall Management:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls, including VPNs, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and web filtering.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify and resolve security threats.
- Implement and maintain firewall policies to ensure network security and compliance.
- Perform regular firmware updates and security audits.
Microsoft Office 365 Administration:
- Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within the Office 365 environment.
- Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and other Office 365 applications.
- Troubleshoot Office 365 related issues and provide user support.
- Implement and maintain security policies for Office 365.
- Manage and improve Microsoft 365 backups.
System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in IT projects and contribute to the development of IT strategies.
Security:
- Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems and networks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security assessments and implement remediation plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration.
- Proven experience with FortiGate firewall configuration and management or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
- Familiarity with network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4 or higher, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are desirable but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with backup solutions. (Veeam, Avepoint)
