CTS is looking to hire a knowledgeable Customer Service Representative for our Blue Ash, Ohio location. (Please note this is an on-site position.) The Customer Service Representative schedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments to expedite production. They handle and route all paperwork, from receipt of parts through their shipment back to the customer. Customer Service Representatives also plan repeat production jobs for processing and helps to prioritize manufacturing schedule.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Receives incoming paperwork from Shipping and creates job folder.
- Sends job folders that need Engineering sign-off to engineers for planning.
- Assigns planning for parts that have been released for customer service planning.
- Opens work orders in business system, verifies pricing, and inserts necessary specifications and customer certification requirements.
- Prints routers and forwards routers and special planning instructions to Manufacturing.
- Monitors progress of work orders through Manufacturing processing.
- Works with customers to communicate customer needs, commit dates, part status, and shipping information.
- Communicates customer needs to Customer Service Supervisor and Manufacturing.
- Works with Inspectors and Quality Control to communicate priorities.
- Works with Shipping and Receiving to communicate shipping methods and priorities.
- Prepares shipping paperwork and quality certifications from business system software and forwards all paperwork to Inspection for sign-off.
- Sets up shipping with customers and/or freight companies.
- Works with inspectors to clear lab pending issues and send approval paperwork to customers.
- Uses customer communication as a tool to solicit additional work and learn more about customer needs and competitive information. Shares pertinent information with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to assure customer needs are understood throughout company.
- Works with Engineering to update customers on development programs, approval status, and new part progress.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
About You:
- 18 years of age
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems
- One to three years' experience in customer service
- One year minimum in a manufacturing environment required
