CTS is seeking to add an experienced and skilled Engineering Technician to join our growing Blue Ash, Ohio team. The Engineering Technician provides hands-on product development and product improvement activities, as well as trains and serves as a liaison between engineering and production during the new product development process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Engage in hands-on process activities (e.g., masking, blasting, thermal spraying, painting) during product development to support engineering efforts.
- Develop process methods and parameters (e.g., masking, blasting, thermal spraying, painting) as part of engineering process development.
- Provide practical training to production employees during new product introductions.
- Ensure the functionality of existing production tooling and contribute to new tooling designs.
- Evaluate and enhance the accuracy of production work instructions, routers, and efficiency standards.
- Contribute to basic robotic programming for development and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in activities to improve production throughput and reduce cycle time.
- Provide accurate projections of direct labor and material usage for cost estimates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
More About You
- 7 years' experience in thermal spray application and/or CNC machining, required
- Experience with various coatings and systems, required
- Experience in simple machining, preferred
