As an Avionics Systems Engineer III, you will:
- Lead Development and Certification: Spearhead the creation of avionics systems requirements, architectures, and functional diagrams. Ensure designs meet all regulatory and customer specifications.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with aircraft design experts, flight test pilots, and Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) to validate that components and systems comply with regulatory standards.
- Drive Innovation: Proactively identify and implement solutions to complex challenges, enhancing system performance and reliability.
- Mentor and Guide: Provide leadership and direction to fellow engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a related engineering field is preferred.
- Professional Experience: At least 10 years in systems engineering or 15 years in the aerospace industry, with hands-on involvement in aircraft development and certification programs.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office and a working knowledge of NX or CATIA V5.
- Regulatory Expertise: A deep understanding of applicable regulatory requirements, with the capability to develop FAA certification plans. Experience with Part 23 aircraft is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to perform root cause analysis and develop effective solutions to complex system issues.
- Leadership Abilities: Strong communication skills and experience leading diverse teams across various cultures.
Citizenship Requirement:
Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
