Join our dynamic team at CTS International as a GPS IMOSC Systems Administrator and play a pivotal role in sustaining and enhancing the Global Positioning System (GPS) operations. This is a 9 month contract position located at Schriever Space Force Base, just east of Colorado Springs, Colorado, with the possibility of extension and potential for full-time employment.
As a GPS IMOSC Systems Administrator (Level 2/3), you will support the GPS sustainment program, ensuring the health and functionality of the GPS constellation. GPS is a satellite-based radio-navigation system operated by the United States Space Force, providing critical position, navigation, and timing data to users worldwide. CTS International has a rich history with GPS, contributing to its full system capability since 1995. Our team continues to support the U.S. Space Force by monitoring and sustaining the 12 GPS Block IIF satellites launched between 2010 and 2016, with sustainment efforts projected through 2031 and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Perform system administration functions for Windows platforms within a medium-sized enterprise domain architecture.
- Apply knowledge of Red Hat Linux security hardening and automation.
- Conduct system integration, hardware and software installation, and implement cybersecurity solutions, including LAN/networking monitoring and maintenance.
- Install, configure, maintain, and manage virtual machines and multi-platform systems' hardware, software, and components.
- Plan, develop, design, integrate, and maintain systems and computer components, including databases, networking equipment, and applications specific to program objectives.
- Coordinate and execute complex software and hardware releases, ensuring compliance with security requirements and configuration management.
- Evaluate system production readiness and supportability.
- Perform backup and restoration of computing service operations.
- Manage and administer service/software deployments, group policies, and system patching.
- Identify and resolve complex system problems.
- Integrate cybersecurity solutions into information systems and processes.
- Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup, disaster recovery planning, mission operations, and cybersecurity posturing.
- Support real-time satellite operations as needed.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to the system, such as technical writing, system documentation, cybersecurity, and configuration management audits.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study.
- Active U.S. security clearance; Secret or above.
- Current Security certification.
- Experience in systems administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Networking/Cisco IOS.
- Proven ability in restoring complex computing service operations.
- Skill in identifying and resolving complex system problems.
- Experience integrating cybersecurity solutions into information systems and processes.
- Proficiency in LAN and database configuration, management, and maintenance.
- Experience in cybersecurity scanning, monitoring, and analysis.
- Familiarity with Splunk Security tools.
Citizenship Requirement:
Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
