Join our dynamic team in San Antonio as a Manufacturing Engineer 3, specializing in Assembly and Installation. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge production and tooling methodologies. Collaborating closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), you'll integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines, ensuring our manufacturing processes are both innovative and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Build Integration: Implement design and build plan changes, minimizing disruptions while maximizing benefits through collaborative processes championed by Manufacturing Engineering.
- Change Management: Integrate changes across affected commodities, executing Build Integration milestones seamlessly.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Engineering Support: Enhance the Build Integration process by monitoring active engineering design changes, assessing associated risks, and ensuring timely progression through review stages.
- Manufacturing Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive manufacturing plans, including creating installation planning and providing shipside support in San Antonio.
- Process Improvement: Participate in process and tool improvement projects to bolster team performance and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in assembly and production processes, with a deep understanding of manufacturing capabilities such as composites and structures.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret legacy 2D drawings; familiarity with aerospace parts and products; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CATIA software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GoldEsp and IVT systems.
- Background in sustaining out-of-production aircraft.
Citizenship Requirement:
Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
