Elevate your engineering career with CTS International! We're seeking a Manufacturing Research and Development Engineer 2 to join our innovative team in San Antonio, Texas. This 12 month contract offers the potential for extension or full-time employment. As a Manufacturing Research and Development Engineer 2, you'll play a pivotal role in defining requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes essential to the engineering design, manufacture, and maintenance of our products. Your responsibilities will include drafting engineering specifications, evaluating emerging technologies, developing and qualifying new tools and processes, performing tests and audits, conducting analyses to determine performance or reasons for failures, implementing corrective actions, and developing computer and production systems to meet user requirements. You'll utilize project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements while incorporating environmental health and safety, LEAN, and Quality principles into various aspects of the role.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- 2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Manufacturing Research and Development, particularly in mechanical/structures assembly, materials and processes engineering, and/or manufacturing research and development.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling tools (1 years).
- Project Management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Security Clearance.
- Experience with 3D Printing.
- Rapid Solution Creation and Deployment experience.
- Technology Implementation experience.
- Knowledge of Electrical installation, teardown, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of aircraft mechanical/structural buildup and teardown.
Citizenship Requirement:
Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
