Join our Production Engineering team in San Antonio, TX, supporting cutting-edge commercial derivative airplane programs. Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Expertise: Utilize comprehensive knowledge of company design and engineering principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Problem Resolution: Lead investigations into technical, operational, and quality challenges, formulating both interim and long-term engineering solutions.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses to identify root causes of design non-conformances and develop effective dispositions.
- Process Improvement: Innovate and implement enhancements to products and processes, addressing complex non-conforming conditions and deviations.
- Safety Analysis: Evaluate reported issues for potential safety concerns, managing complex resolutions and developing both interim and final solutions.
- Design Collaboration: Provide subject matter expertise during the design phase by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.
- Production Support: Represent the engineering community from build through post-production, ensuring supplier and partner compliance with company standards.
- Customer Communication: Develop correspondence to guide customers on the continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- On-Site Support: Lead on-site teams for product repair and accident investigations, including designing structural repairs and conducting static strength analyses.
- Training Development: Create and implement technical training programs for internal and external customers.
Position Requirements
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in designing structural and electrical rework/repairs to restore aircraft or systems to original design capabilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in interpreting and creating engineering drawings, specifications, processes, and design manuals.
- At least 8 years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Materials Review Board (MRB) or Universal Product Review (UPR) approval authority certification.
- Experience with executive interior installation/design.
- Background in modification and repair of wide-body aircraft.
Citizenship Requirement:
Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
