Are you a seasoned Structural Analysis Engineer with a passion for aerospace innovation? Join our dynamic team in Tukwila, Washington, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aircraft design and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Structural Development: Spearhead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish robust system designs.
- Collaborative Engineering: Partner with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define and optimize the product environment.
- Analytical Excellence: Utilize and develop advanced analytical methods, including finite element models and simulations, to assess and ensure structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
- Test Leadership: Design and lead test plans and configurations, support test executions, and analyze/report results to validate system and component compliance with stringent requirements and specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Define and document certification and test outcomes to substantiate compliance for customers and regulatory agencies.
- In-Service Support: Lead investigations into product failures and implement analytical improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Process Innovation: Develop and refine analytical processes and tools to boost the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Proficiency in classical hand analysis and experience with primary aircraft structures.
- Expertise in finite element modeling (FEM) and aircraft stress/structural analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in integrated design and layout development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with company-specific structures and tools.
- Extensive background in primary aircraft structures and aerospace applications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with commercial derivatives in both commercial and military applications, particularly with models such as 737, 747, 757, and 777.
Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- Typically, 14 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD with 9 years of related work experience, Master's with 12 years of related work experience).
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, though not mandatory.
Citizenship Requirement:
Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
