Join our dynamic team at CTS International as a Wire Design & Installation Engineer 3, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aerospace technology. This position is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and offers a contract duration of 6 months with the potential for extension or full-time employment. As a Wire Design & Installation Engineer 3, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining intricate cable and wire harness designs, as well as electrical product details, assemblies, and installation designs. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing design outcomes, conducting thorough reviews, and providing engineering dispositions on any discrepancies. You will document essential processes, specifications, and procedures to support the design and manufacturing of electrical components. Collaborating closely with suppliers, you'll participate in technical reviews to facilitate source selection and ensure the development of comprehensive, integrated designs. This role operates under general direction, offering you the autonomy to apply your skills effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed designs for cable and wire harnesses.
- Analyze design results and perform comprehensive design reviews.
- Create and update electrical product details, assemblies, and installation designs, including equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and antennas.
- Provide engineering design dispositions for discrepancies such as rejection tags and production action requests.
- Document processes, specifications, and procedures to support electrical component design and manufacturing.
- Develop basic statements of work and participate in technical supplier reviews to aid in source selection.
- Analyze functional and physical inputs to ensure the development of complete, integrated designs.
