The Company’s Missile Defense National Team is seeking motivated and talented Mid (Level 3) Software Engineer to join the team. This position is located at Colorado Springs, CO, supporting the DevSecOps (DSO) Product Team.
Program Information :
The C2BMC National Team provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Contract. C2BMC is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System and links various sensors and weapon systems. The system provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against multiple ranges of threats and in all phases of flight.
Position Responsibilities :
The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. The candidate will assist in the system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. We are working with the leading DevOps practices and tooling (Hashicorp Tools, Gitlab CI / CD, Ansible Tower and Nexus Pro).
- Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.
- Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
- Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.
- Determines systems requirements, input / output processes, and working parameters for hardware / software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
- Develops and recommends corrective actions.
- May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Background Experience Required :
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. Must be responsible to work independently / solo at times on large projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.
Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience (e.g., PhD, Master 3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
