Provide peer support and guidance to individuals, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.- Engage actively in community outreach and events, building relationships with community members and organizations.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource, effectively communicating information about programs and available resources.
- Advocate for clients, including those seeking services from CTSCD, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Promote inclusivity and respect for diversity, ensuring all clients feel welcome and supported.
Requirements:
High School diploma- Is 21 years of age
- Has individual lived experience, or experience as a caregiver of a child, with behavioral health needs.
- Demonstrates the ability to work within agency structure, accept supervision, and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, when applicable; and
- Has completed a Department-approved peer support training or certification process. (Or receive within 30 days of hire)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- A solid understanding of community resources and a proactive approach to outreach.
- Advocacy experience or a passion for supporting individuals in overcoming barriers and achieving their goals.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating healthy, resilient communities
