Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our Kennsington Hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation through effective maintenance practices at our award-winning Courtyard by Marriott and All-New SpringHill & TownePlace Suites. This role requires a strong understanding of various systems, including electrical and mechanical, as well as the ability to read schematics and fabricate solutions as needed. The Maintenance Person will play a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all staff and visitors.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical repairs, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system upkeep.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to ensure equipment functionality.
- Supervise and coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
- Lead small teams in various maintenance projects while providing guidance and support.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic standards within facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on facility conditions.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
- Familiarity with schematics and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Leadership experience is a plus, particularly in supervising maintenance teams or projects.
- A background in residential painting is advantageous but not mandatory.
