We are seeking a highly motivated Payment Posting Coordinator to join our Cash Applications team.
This job can be performed 100% remotely and out of state candidates will be considered.
The Payment Posting Coordinator is responsible for timely and accurately posting patient payments, third party payments, and rejections to patient accounts both manually and electronically. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent 10 key and typing skills, and exceptional analytical skills.
The Payment Posting Coordinator will:
Apply insurance payments to patient accounts.
Post rejections (denials) to patient accounts.
Balance, log, and track completion of batches on a daily basis.
Prepare refund requests for approval when payments have been sent to CU Medicine in error.
Resolve cash suspense accounts in accordance with department policies.
Respect confidential nature of data and use discretion when releasing information to patients, insurance companies or any other person inquiring about a patient’s account.
Adhere to month end close process, and may need to adjust hours at month end close.
Posses the ability to meet monthly benchmark standards both on quality and quantity.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
2 years of related experience
Expert 10-key skills
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Bookkeeping and accounting skills highly preferred
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Experience with online billing system and PC applications
