What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at CUB Academy?
Summary
Come grow with us! We are looking for passionate individuals who enjoy working with children and have strong leadership skills. Must be dedicated and reliable. Looking for a teacher for our Preschool classroom (ages 2.5 through age 5).
Duties
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must possess personal qualities necessary to care for and work with children, must be able to relate to adults, including staff and parents.
The Staff is responsible for the day-to-day direct care of the children.
Must assist the Head Teacher in implementing the educational portion of the program.
Must attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers
Must help teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills as well as age appropriate developmental milestones
Must establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order
Must prepare materials and classrooms for class activities/curriculum
Must welcome arriving children to the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them, as well as greet parents at door for pick up and discuss child's day
Must demonstrate and engage in activities with children
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- CPR, 1st Aid, Epipen and med certifications within 90 days of hire, or online 18 hour training
- Completed background check fingerprints upon hire
