We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts and equipment Manager to oversee our parts and sales department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory, able to sell and manage showroom floor and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to increase and maintain sales level. Must be computer savvy and get things done.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of parts for vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Utilize POS systems for tracking sales, inventory, and orders efficiently.
- Organize the parts department to facilitate easy access and retrieval of items.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with inquiries and orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Maintain effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers and suppliers.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms for purchasing parts.
- Monitor market trends to adjust inventory strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with service technicians to understand parts requirements for vehicle maintenance.
Experience
- Proven experience in inventory management within an automotive or related industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating a commitment to client satisfaction.
- Experience in cash handling procedures is essential.
- Proficient in using POS systems and other relevant software tools.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for successful interactions with customers and vendors.
