Summary:
Coordinates and assists with sales floor and sales counter functions in the Bakery Department. The emphasis in this position is on ensuring all Bakery product is properly wrapped and displayed and to ensure proper customer service levels. Primary learning challenge is daily work flow organization and execution. This position requires ongoing judgement and decision making and social skills. Position functions and hours may vary according to business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Organizes the flow of production of the front tend of the Bakery department
-Ensures proper training of wrapper/stockers
Assists in developing and implementing merchandising plans in order to maximize department sales
-Monitors displays to ensure product is well stocked and properly rotated
-Assists in planning and building displays
-Assists Bakery Manager with promotional planning
-Coordinates special events for the Bakery Department
-Decorates department for holidays and promotions
Performs finishing, wrapping and stocking functions
-Allows baked goods to cool and glazes or drizzles appropriate product
-Bags, shrink wraps and transfers baked products to proper container
-Labels product
-Reviews product quality prior to displaying
-Stocks and rotates product
-Ensures all stale product is pulled
Assists customers with questions and requests
-Attends to customer needs for ordering, information and counter service
-Uses suggestive selling techniques when interacting with customers
-Greets customers in department
-Answers department calls
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
