This position will be 18 - 28 hours per week.

Summary:
This position provides support in order processing, record keeping and stocking for the Pharmacy. The emphasis in this position is on accurate and proper processing of prescription information, accurate handling of currency, positive customer relations and maintaining shelf stock to ensure maximum product availability and sales. Primary learning challenge is computer operation, accuracy and product knowledge. This position requires good judgment and decision making as well as social skills. Position function and work hours may vary according to business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists in processing prescriptions
-Verifies customer name, address and phone
-Inputs prescription code and customer data into computer, prints label
-Calls doctors for verification
-Maintains sales records
-Ensures confidentiality of records
-Maintains knowledge of drug names
-Fills out insurance forms when necessary for customer
-Figures dosages
Checks out customers accurately and properly
-Follows proper currency handling and cash register procedures
-Notifies Pricing Coordinator of department price discrepancies
-Maintains familiarity with all product, product location and bottle location
Ensures positive customer relations
-Properly greets and thanks customers
-Provides prompt and courteous service
-Assists customers with product location, questions and refers to Pharmacist as necessary
Performs department receiving and stocking
-Fills, rotates and straightens shelf stock
-Properly maintains ends and displays
-Pulls back stock
-Verifies invoices with product received and fills necessary paperwork for discrepancies
Maintains Board of Pharmacy regulations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
