This is where you come in
At Cubby Beds, the Staff Accountant will be the primary team member responsible for recording transactions in our ERP to capture company activity tied to AR, AP, Cash Management, Prepaids, and Fixed Assets. The Staff Accountant will help ensure Cubby provides accurate and timely financial reporting and that all accounting records are booked in accordance with US GAAP. The Staff Accountant will bring valuable insight and fresh perspective for process improvements-further supporting Cubby's growth.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
- Process customer invoicing & collections
- Process and issue payment of vendor invoices
- Complete the application of cash transactions from our various financial institutions
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations such as deferred revenue, inventory, Leasing, Investments, etc
- Record entries for depreciation and amortization of fixed assets and prepaids
- Conduct monthly variance analysis explaining any fluctuations from period to period
- Assist the Controller in drafting accounting workflows and policies
- Team up alongside the Controller in completing annual financial audits
- Collaborate cross-functionally to assist both internal and external stakeholders
Here’s what we’re looking for
You will have at least
- Bachelor's from an accredited college in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Fluency in US GAAP
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc)
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
- The demonstrated ability to manage timelines and deliverables
We hope you also have
- At least 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience with Quickbooks and/or Netsuite
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth company
- Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
- Passion for working in mission-driven companies

- Compensation: $67-79k hiring range - Cubby offers an exciting OTE (On-Target Earnings) program to motivate and celebrate collective success in achieving company goals. The total cash compensation range listed above is inclusive of base pay & target variable pay. The target variable pay for this role is 5% of the base salary.
