Job Title: Industrial Control Panel Design Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid: In-office & Remote)
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Control Panel Design Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will design and create control panels using Siemens products like SINAMICS, SIMATIC, and SIMOTION.
You will work on designing custom control systems for a variety of industries and ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Control Panels: Work on designing electrical control panels that include AC drives, PLC systems, and HMIs using Siemens components.
Collaborate with CAD Team: Review and mark up schematics and enclosure layouts to ensure the designs are accurate and follow specifications.
Ensure Compliance: Make sure all designs meet industry electrical codes like UL, NEC, and NFPA standards.
Sizing & Cooling: Choose the right size for enclosures and plan for heat dissipation and cooling based on customer needs.
Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and CAD teams to make sure projects stay on schedule and meet requirements.
Key Requirements:
Experience with Siemens Products: Hands-on experience with Siemens SINAMICS, SIMATIC, SIMOTION, or similar automation systems.
Control Panel Design: Knowledge in designing industrial control panels and integrating automation systems.
Electrical Codes: Familiarity with UL, NEC, NFPA 70/79 safety standards and how to apply them to designs.
CAD Skills: Experience working with AutoCAD or similar tools to create and revise design drawings.
Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work well with other engineers, CAD designers, and manufacturing teams.
